⋙ THE BASICS: Anteceded is a panfadom, dystopian game set in the future where everyone is dying from a mysterious plague. All the world's best technology and scientists are being thrown at it, but time is running out.

Unfortunately for you, the plague isn't just contained to this one world. They managed to get you here, didn't they? They've been to your world.

The sickness is there too, they took it there when they visited.

But you're here now, so you'll help -- won't you? They need people of all abilities, the scientists can't sustain themselves. There's too few of them.

That is why they sent out help beacons. That glowing mysterious floating ball you touched? That was a help beacon, which transported you straight into the welcoming area. It also flooded your brain with a lot of helpful information.

You may need a moment to sit down and process. Refreshments will be provided. They may be... less than fresh, to be honest. Sorry!

Anteceded has several ending options, and the actions of the players will decide how well or badly things go.

⋙ Setting: Anteceded is run as open world. You aren't trapped in a city, you're living in the safety of a protected building but you can go out and explore the ruins. In fact, it will be encouraged in a few mod-run instances. As time wears on, you will be allowed more travel options too as power is restored to certain areas. (Trains!)

⋙ Appable characters: We allow Fandom characters, OCs and malleable protags. However, we do not allow duplicates. Therefore, no male Shepard and Female Shepard in the same game! No KH Cloud and also FFVII Cloud!

However, canon duplicates who appear on screen together Like Dave Strider and Davesprite will be allowed.

If you want to contest this, it would have to be okayed with both muns before ever being allowed.

⋙ Previous Game CR: Is complicated, but feasible so long as you are happy to stay in contact with the mod team. After all, if you have been taken from another world then the NPCs need to know about it to have pulled you from there!

⋙ IC/OOC: Remember: IC ≠ OOC. Keep the two separate. Just because someone's character is being cruel to your character doesn't mean that the person has something against you. This goes for OOC knowledge too - what you know doesn't equate to what your character knows.

⋙ RATING: People in this game will die. There will be violence and blood, politics and betrayals and discussion of terminal sicknesses and characters who have passed on as well as mystery and adventures. There is no cure as your character joins the game. Please bear that in mind! If this will upset you, this game isn't the one for you. If you are up for that, however, welcome aboard!

⋙ COMMITMENT: Joining the roleplay means that you're basically saying you'll be an active player and contribute to the plot whenever you can. Yes, we're lenient, but if the players never take any initiative, then where else would the roleplay go but downhill? Our AC will allow for backtagging -- if you are still reliably tagging a post made last month you can use it for the next months AC. If you abuse this however and use the same post for 3 ACs in a row we may have to stop in and encourage you to move on!

⋙ INITIATIVE: On that note, this roleplay is dependent on players' participation, so getting yourselves involved is highly encouraged. While there is an overarching plot, there's plenty of room for your own plots and other shenanigans. Just send the mods an email or comment on this post and we'll start brainstorming. Likewise, if you wish to have your character take a specific action within the plot let us know and we'll work it out. The plot has several set aspects but we are malleable.

⋙ GOLDEN RULE: HAVE FUN! It's not a roleplay if there are no rampant debaucheries, cheers of joy, and 24/7 playdates around. If a problem arises, however, feel free to contact any of the mods.
